He directed PROOF and DRIVING MISS DAISY for New American Theater, is the director of the nationally-touring interactive comedy, SISTER BERNIE'S BINGO BASH, and is a company actor with Northern Michigan Lakeside Shakespeare Theatre, directing and acting in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (playing Bottom, Oberon and Theseus) and THE TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA(Proteus) and acting in ROMEO AND JULIET (Capulet), JULIUS CAESAR (Brutus) and TWELFTH NIGHT (Malvolio). An ensemble member of Chicago's Seanachai Theatre Company, he played Lt. Osborne in JOURNEY'S END (which received an After Dark Award and Jeff nomination for Best Production) and will be directing their next show, Thomas Murphy's A WHISTLE IN THE DARK. With The Journeymen, he shared in three Jeff Awards and an After Dark Award for his work on both parts of ANGELS IN AMERICA, playing Joe Pitt, co-directing and choreographing the fights. His stage credits also include Writer's Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare, The Women's Project of New York, Syracuse Stage, Indiana Rep, Milwaukee Rep, Madison Rep, Illinois Theatre Center, The Artistic Home, Balliwick, Lifeline, Oak Park Festival, New American and Drury Lane. With Mark Bashore and John Mossman, he formed the video production company, upright monkey, which recently produced the documentary, DAS PINGPONGER and the short, THE OUTLINE. Jeff co-fronts the rock band Ingenious Whittler, has worked a number of independent films and recently appeared in Christopher Nolan's BATMAN BEGINS.
