A: A member of the stage, film and television unions, Mr. Krag has
been researching this piece for over a decade and brings his vast
acting experience to the production. His approach to the text yields a
clarity and insight that can enhance or even challenge one’s
preconceived notions of this story.
Q: WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO USE THE KING JAMES VERSION?
A: The Authorized King James Version of The Bible was published around
the same time Shakespeare was writing his greatest plays. Mr. Krag
draws upon his Shakespearean training and experience to express the
poetry and passion of this exquisite language.
Q: HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM GOING TO CHURCH?
A: Though this is a word-for-word telling of The Gospel According to
Mark, According to Mark is a theatrical performance and not just a
recitation of the text. The intent of the show is not to preach or to
proselytize, but simply to bring a miraculous story to life.
Q: HOW LONG IS THIS PERFORMANCE?
A: The running time is just under two hours long. There are two acts
and a 15-minute intermission.
